Who We Are

Working together

Ethical Clothing Australia is a joint business–union initiative. It is governed by an independent and not-for-profit committee of management, Homeworker Code Committee Inc, with representation from major stakeholders in the textile, clothing and footwear industry.

The current members of the committee are:

  • The Textile Clothing and Footwear Union of Australia (TCFUA)
  • The Council of Textile and Fashion Industries of Australia (TFIA)
  • Pacific Brands
  • Jets
  • Poppets Schoolwear
  • NSW Business Chamber
  • Australian Industry Group (AIG)

The Ethical Clothing Australia team works to assist businesses with the accreditation process and to promote the trademark and accredited brands to consumers and buyers.

In addition to this, the TFIA provides industry education services via a service level agreement.

Likewise, the TCFUA provides a compliance role and performs outworker outreach and education activities.
